MARKET CHARACTERISTICS
The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the largest commercial and industrial centers, a stably developing region of Russia.
Based on residential accommodation and trade grounds per capita Kazan city holds the leading position in the Russian Federation. Newly built dwellings, opening of trade centers and institutions undoubtedly contribute to the increase of demand for furniture production.
Successful development of real estate market and increasing income level of the population are accompanied by the growth of demand for furniture production. The furniture market capacity is quite great and it is considered as a highly perspective in long term.
Furniture trade centers, such as Mebelgrad, Megga-mebel, City-mebel, MUM, Mebelny Bazar, Ikea and more than thirty separate showrooms are at the service of 1, 5 million citizens of Kazan. Trade in furniture made to order as well as company trade are successfully developing: the expositions of such companies as Mebel Chernozemya, Miassmebel, Shatura, Lazurit, Atlas-lux and others are presented in furniture centers in the format of factory brand sections. One of the largest network wholesale and retail companies – Vash Byt that includes 15 trading sites has built its own furniture center in Kazan. Trade and manufacture enterprises of the Republic are interested in developing partnership with Russian and international companies. All this opens up vast opportunities for expanding businesses in the furniture sphere of the Republic.
EXHIBITION CHARACTERISTICS
The Intermebel International Exhibition is a major furniture project contributing to the development of home furniture market, strengthening relations between producers, trade organizations and customers of furniture production. All representatives of the branch (furniture. equipment and components manufacturers, designers, furniture shops) meet together at the exhibition.
During 11 years enterprises from more than 35 countries and 80 Russian cities participated in the InterMebel exhibition and more than 85,000,000 people have visited it.
The fact that in 2007 the exhibition qualified to meet the standards of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs and the UFI proves the high level of the exhibition.
At the same time with the InterMebel exhibition the Woodworking exhibition will take place. It will demonstrate woodworking equipment and materials for furniture manufacture.
VENUE
“Kazanskaya Yarmarka” JSC is one of the largest and dynamically developing exhibition centers of Russia. It is the member of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), Nizhny Novgorod, and the Global Association of Exhibition Industry (UFI), Paris. The Quality Management System of “Kazanskaya Yarmarka” JSC is certified to meet the ISO 9001-2000 International Standards. On the territory of the exhibition center there are 3 pavilions of 6,700 square meters of gross exhibition space as well as 15,000 square meters of open grounds, a pavilion for receptions and VIP-class presentations and a business center. The total area of the exhibition complex is 12,1 hectares.
